THIRD QUARTER REVIVAL PREPARES SCOTS FOR SOUTH AFRICA

Burns sent over an awesome pass to Fiona Greer who was under tremendous pressure when she released the ball towards the goal. The ball drifted on the post before England Goalkeeper Tara Smith recovered.
Jillian Connor received a second exclusion as England's high press put Scotland under great pressure. England scored further goals through Bernice Cowton, Mohan (3), Kate Lewis (2) and Christi Bardecki (2).

England were rewarded a contentious penalty and Jillian Connor was excluded for the game. Baird saved Chloe Wilcox's shot, but England kept the scorers busy.
Scotland's mini-revival in the third and fourth period restored some confidence ahead of the clash with South Africa tomorrow.
Goalkeeper Baird said: "We just need to go out there and play the game of our lives."
Simple then - everyone knows what they need to do!

England's red roses proved to be prickly opposition for Scotland, as the auld enemy won 32-3 at Challenge Stadium, Perth.
With Scotland already in the fifth place play-off and England in the semi finals, the match was meaningless.
Scotland scored in the third period through a fabulous shot from Sam Souter. England defender Carol Mohan was looking to counter, underestimating Souter's ability, and the Western player drilled the ball past Rosie Morris at the near post.
Cathy Burns also scored from five-metres. The Aberdonian caught the England defence napping with a thunderous drive.
Scotland scored again in the final quarter when Julia MacKay received the ball at Centre Forward after Fiona Greer's cross pass. MacKay humiliated the England Two-metre defender and put a backhand shot into the top left corner of Morris's goal.
Earlier in the game, Jillian Connor was excluded early in the first period. Lynne Baird saved from Angela Winstanley-Smith but could not prevent the England Centre Forward from scoring the rebound.
Coach Theo Bampouras was animated on the sidelines.
